Connect Avery Weigh-Tronix to HorecaPOS

With the integration between HorecaPOS and Avery Weigh-Tronix, you connect the 7820, 7829 and ZP900 POS scales to your POS. They speak NCI, the Weigh-Tronix protocol: the POS sends a W and gets the weight back, with a status line. That tells you whether the weight is still moving, or whether it is overloaded or underloaded. This way you charge products priced per kilo without typing anything in.

What the integration with Avery Weigh-Tronix does

  • In the POS: Request (Toledo), 9600 baud, 7E1
  • 7820 also via USB as a virtual COM port
  • ZP900: use port 2 (NCI); also USB and Ethernet

Scales

The POS reads the weight from the Avery Weigh-Tronix scale itself and charges per kilo; no more typing in weights.

This integration works straight away: the administrator switches it on in the POS settings and enters the Avery Weigh-Tronix details there.
