Connect Rice Lake to HorecaPOS

With the integration between HorecaPOS and Rice Lake, you connect a BenchPro scale to your POS. The BP-S uses Toledo 8213 and the BP-R uses NCI; with both, the POS sends a W and gets the weight back, with NCI including a status line. In the POS you choose Request (Toledo). The protocol is not stated word for word in any source, so this still needs testing.

What the integration with Rice Lake does

  • BenchPro BP-S and BP-R via RS232
  • 9600 baud, 7 data bits, even parity (7E1)
  • Several scales at once, each with its own name

Scales

The POS reads the weight from the Rice Lake scale itself and charges per kilo; no more typing in weights.

This integration works straight away: the administrator switches it on in the POS settings and enters the Rice Lake details there.
