Connect Datalogic to HorecaPOS

With the integration between HorecaPOS and Datalogic, you use a Magellan scanner with built-in scale to scan and weigh in one place. This covers the Magellan 9300i, 9400i and 9800i, with a separate RS232 scale port. Set the Scale Interface Type there to Mettler Toledo 8217. The POS then requests the weight when you choose a product priced per kilo.

What the integration with Datalogic does

  • POS set to Request (Toledo), 9600 baud, 7E1
  • Connections: RS232 (separate scale port) and USB
  • Dialog 06 on the scale port is also possible

Scales

The POS reads the weight from the Datalogic scale itself and charges per kilo; no more typing in weights.

This integration works straight away: the administrator switches it on in the POS settings and enters the Datalogic details there.
