Connect Caller-ID-modem (vaste lijn) to HorecaPOS

With a caller ID modem (landline), HorecaPOS can see who is calling even on an analogue phone line. You put a USB modem with caller ID, for example a USRobotics 5637, on the line next to the phone. When the phone rings, the POS reads the number and looks up the customer. In the POS you enter the serial port, such as COM3 or /dev/ttyACM0, plus the baud rate and the init command (AT+VCID=1 by default).

What the integration with Caller-ID-modem (vaste lijn) does

  • USB modem with caller ID on the analogue landline
  • Serial port, baud rate (9600 by default) and init command
  • No phone system needed

Telephony (caller ID)

When someone calls via Caller-ID-modem (vaste lijn), the POS instantly shows who it is, with their address and previous orders. Handy for phone orders.

This integration works straight away: the administrator switches it on in the POS settings and enters the Caller-ID-modem (vaste lijn) details there.
